1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using BookSlate ("the Platform"), operated by BookSlate ("we", "our", or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

BookSlate is an online appointment scheduling and business management platform that enables service-based businesses to manage bookings, accept payments, communicate with customers via WhatsApp and Instagram, and use AI-powered assistants. The Platform includes a booking website, dashboard, and integrations with third-party services.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Business Accounts

If you use BookSlate as a business owner:

  • You represent that you have the authority to act on behalf of the business.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your business information, services, pricing, and availability.
  • You agree to honor bookings confirmed through the Platform.
  • You are responsible for your own compliance with applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

5. Customer Bookings

If you use BookSlate as a customer to book services:

  • You agree to provide accurate contact information.
  • You understand that bookings are between you and the business, not BookSlate.
  • Cancellation and refund policies are set by each individual business.
  • BookSlate is not responsible for the quality of services provided by businesses.

6. Payments

  • Payments are processed through third-party providers (Stripe, Razorpay).
  • BookSlate does not store your credit card or payment details.
  • Subscription fees for the Platform are billed monthly and are non-refundable except as described in our Cancellation and Refund Policy.
  • Businesses are responsible for their own pricing and payment collection.

7. AI-Powered Features

BookSlate uses artificial intelligence to provide automated booking assistance through WhatsApp and Instagram. By enabling these features:

  • You acknowledge that AI responses are generated automatically and may not always be accurate.
  • You are responsible for reviewing and monitoring AI interactions with your customers.
  • Messages processed by the AI are used solely for booking assistance and are not sold to third parties.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Send spam, unsolicited messages, or marketing without proper consent.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure.
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorization.
  • Use the Platform to collect personal information without consent.

9. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, features, and content, is owned by BookSlate. Your business content (logos, images, service descriptions) remains your property. By uploading content, you grant us a license to display it on the Platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

BookSlate is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold BookSlate harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
